Delightful stay with a warm welcome from Andy, and the chef created a custom vegan dish that truly impressed. The cozy family room with four single beds suited us perfectly during our snowy getaway.

This was just a fine choice for a brief stopover in Welburn with excellent value for money. The upstairs twin room was modern and clean with a good supply of tea and coffee. Bring your earplugs as the pub downstairs can get lively.

We stayed for two nights in a Twin Room that was super clean and comfy, with handy tea and coffee facilities. There’s a nice garden area to chill out in and a TV in the lobby for some downtime. The only hiccup was a bit of noise from the road, but it didn’t ruin our stay at all, so I’d definitely recommend checking this place out! 😊

Just enjoyed a two-night stay where I indulged in the delicious à la carte menu at The Duke of Wellington. The cozy double room offered comfort, and staff made every moment special. Tip, Bring an appetite—portions are generous!

Thoughtful amenities include a kettle with tea, coffee, and biscuits, with a selection of children's DVDs available in the drawers. The recently refurbished rooms have direct outdoor access, creating a motel-like convenience without compromising on comfort.

Although the bathroom is modern, it lacks basic supplies beyond soap, like additional toiletries or even a second glass. The heating system operates on a timer, requiring manual adjustments which can be a hassle for those who prefer a steady temperature. Wi-Fi connectivity is spotty in the rooms, leaving the pub as the go-to spot for reliable access. not ideal for anyone needing to stay connected. the nearest shops are about eight miles away, making quick trips for necessities a challenge. Lastly, not having room service for basic needs felt limiting, especially after a long day of exploring.

I had a wonderful 3-night stay in a double room, where I was welcomed by Steve and Julie who made the experience truly special. The room was beautifully maintained, and I appreciated the integrated DVD player for some entertainment after a long day of exploring. Dinner at the adjacent pub was delicious and well-priced, exceeding my expectations for pub food.

What a fantastic stay! The food was absolutely superb, especially the mushroom stroganoff that I customized as vegan. truly a highlight! The room was modern and spacious with a cozy vibe, just like I hoped, and I particularly loved the fluffy towels and well-stocked tea and coffee supplies. I would definitely return for another amazing getaway!
